HISTORY
Historic Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN was established May 18, 1878 when William J. Brown sold the land surrounding the family burial ground for Civil War soldiers’ interments. Historic Magnolia Cemetery has always been an integral part of the history of the town; yet still remains relevant to Collierville families and friends today.
Gazebo: The original Gazebo was built in 1882. As a community project, the Collierville Contemporary Club restored the Gazebo in 1982. During March of 2014, the Gazebo was totally rebuilt.
Wall: The stone wall was built in 1940 with several families donating the money and having their name in a section.
Chapel: Recognizing the untiring efforts of Mrs. Alice T. Cartwright, the Cartwright Chapel was built in 1942. Magnolia Cemetery still remains relevant to Collierville families today.

Invest with Us: We appreciate community and family investments that enable us to continue our commitment to Collierville's heritage - past, present and future by providing space for funerals, receptions and events.
